Pioneer Tech receives new equipment

New extrication equipment and an enclosed trailer arrived this week at Pioneer Technology Center (PTC). These items were purchased through a partnership with Northern Safety & Industrial who discounted former demonstration equipment. Through this generous act along with additional contributions from Phillips 66 and the Ponca City Fire and Life Safety Council, PTC’s shared investment resulted in a training equipment bundle valued at over $35,000. These tools will be used for automobile, industrial, and farm rescue extrication training.

Pioneer Technology Center (PTC) appointed a new board member Tuesday, August 11th. Laurence Beliel was interviewed, along with another candidate, and sworn in at the tech center’s monthly Board of Education meeting. He will fill the open seat vacated by Larry Buck who retired last month.

The Billings Chamber of Commerce met Wednesday evening, July 15 in the Billings Community Building with new President Beth Bierig presiding. This was the first meeting of the Chamber since the Citizen of the Year Award Dinner held on February 29, 2020 due to the Covid-19 virus. The flag salute was led by Lewain Learned and the prayer given by Karen Culp. Members answering roll call were Lewain and Aimie Learned, Karen Culp, Candy Oller, McKayla Bohon, Mark Branson, and Beth and Andrew Bierig.
