Silvan Zingg the Internationally acclaimed Swiss Boogie Woogie, Blues & Jazz pianist will be performing a live solo concert at the Poncan Theatre , July 22, 7:30 pm. Silvan’s interest in playing the piano started when he was a little boy learning to pick out melodies on his mothers piano. He began improvising songs soon and especially the Boogie woogie style songs that he liked the best. As a teen he played in music festivals and he caught people’s attention with his creative improvisation and showmanship . Word got around in the music world about his incredible talent . His professional career was launched at age 18 when he was invited to play in Charleston, S. Carolina at the Masters of Boogie Woogie Night festival. Currently he has played in 50 countries in Europe, N. & S. America, Asia & Africa. Over the past 30 years he could be found on stage playing music with numerous legendary musicians like B.B. King, Carlos Santana, Chuck Berry, George Benson, Ray Charles and many more! Sikvans repertoire is immense ranging from boogie woogie style to sensitive blues to classical jazz & Swing. But his music genre goes beyond with dramatic classical music intros , country selections, along with pop and rock medleys. The international press says he plays with brilliance , lots of passion , lightness & suburb quality . They nominated him as the Ambassador of Boogie Woogie music of Switzerland to the world.
