Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa is hosting the 32nd Anniversary of Arts Adventure Summer Camp July 17-20.The camp runs from 1 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. and is open for incoming 6th graders through those who have just completed high school.Arts Adventure is a 501(c)3 non-profit supported by the Oklahoma Arts Council, National Endowment for the Arts, North Central Oklahoma Arts Council, and numerous businesses, organizations, and individuals. Scholarships are available including one specifically for Blackwell students.The camp offers students the opportunity to learn a variety of art forms from professional artists from NOC and from across the state. And end-of-camp Showcase will be presented where students’ works will be displayed and performed.Classes offered this year include: Beginning Photography, Board Game Design, Cartooning, Computer Graphics 101, Creatures and Critters Sculptures, Dance, Digital Escape Room, Drawing, Drum Circle, Jewelry and Ornament Making, Leather Animal Mask Special, Lights, Camera, Action & Video Production, Musical Theatre, Oil Painting, Painting with Watercolor and Gouache, Stage Combat, Vocal Exploration, as well as Broadway and Contemporary Dance.The camp has been held at NOC since 2000, it was formerly held at the Marland Mansion in Ponca City.The total cost of the camp is $125.
