City briefs

The Tonkawa Fire Department responded to 18 ambulance calls transporting 11, and 6 fire calls during the past week. The past week majority of ambulance and fire runs were caused by inattentive driving. Please be aware of your surroundings and don’t be distracted while driving.

The Northern Oklahoma College Roustabouts are hosting their annual Benefit Show Saturday, April 1.

IOOF Cemetery needs donations

The IOOF Cemetery is in need of donations to continue operation of the cemetery, Garry Davis announced this week. Brent Bailey is caretaker. Donations can be sent to P.O. Box 121 with checks made to the Tonkawa Cemetery for upkeep.

NOC Process Tech application deadline extended to March 31

Northern Oklahoma College has announced an extension for this year’s applications to the Process Technology Program.

Quilters Guild meet Monday

Pioneer Area Quilters Guild will meet on Monday, April 3 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1904 N. Pecan in Ponca City. The meeting schedule is as follows: 10:00 am social hour, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm business meeting including show and share, 12:00 pm program. The hospitality committee will provide water and tea. Attendees should bring their own covered drink cup and may bring their own food.
