Northern Oklahoma College Nursing faculty members will be honored with The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Faculty at the NOC 2023 Nurses’ Pinning Ceremony Saturday, May 6, at Briggs Auditorium at NOC Enid.

Fifteen Northern Oklahoma College Nursing Students received their nurses’ pins at a ceremony at NOC Enid Saturday night in the 50th Class of NOC Nursing.

County tax resale slated June 12th at Newkirk office

The Kay County Treasurer would like to make the public aware that the treasurer’s office will be conducting the annual Tax Resale for the office of the County Treasurer on Monday, June 12th, 2023 at the KAY COUNTY ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, located at 219 S Main, Newkirk, beginning at 9:00am. The new Administration Building is located next to the current Kay County Courthouse that is under remodel. You should not enter the Courthouse in any way and come straight to the Administration Building. We will have signs that will help guide you to our new facility. This sale will be for property that is being sold for several years of delinquent tax as required by state statute Title 68 Section 3129.

IOOF Cemetery needs donations

The IOOF Cemetery is in need of donations to continue operation of the cemetery, Garry Davis announced this week. Brent Bailey is caretaker. Donations can be sent to P.O. Box 121 with checks made to the Tonkawa Cemetery for upkeep.

Hembree, Tarrant named All-State in track

Tonkawa senior track stars Holly Hembree and Chandler Tarrant were both named State All-Stars earlier this week.
