State Promise Scholarship due by Friday

The deadline for a popular state scholarship program is quickly approaching for Oklahoma students who just completed eighth, ninth, tenth or 11th grade. This is the final opportunity for students who were 11th-graders in the 202223 school year to apply for the program.

The annual Lucky Duck Derby sponsored by the Tonkawa High School Alumni Association, partnering with the Tonkawa Masonic Lodge, will be held on Monday, July 4th, immediately following the parade that starts at noon in downtown Tonkawa. The Derby will take place at the canal on West Grand Avenue just west of Treasures on Grand Avenue (previously the Christian Church).

Leadership Tonkawa applications sought

Twelve Tonkawa area residents will be selected for “Leadership Tonkawa,” an eight-month program that builds leadership skill and teaches aspects of the Tonkawa community.
