The Tonkawa Fire Department responded to 14 ambulance calls transporting 10, and 6 fire calls during the past week. People who are planning on burning in our jurisdiction in the county please call the fire department at (580) 628-3251 and advise us where and when you are planning to burn to deter unnecessary call outs. Ken Kreger Still Critical; Is In Intensive Care Ken Kreger, Tonkawa area farmer and spray pilot who was critically burned in the crash and fire of his spray plane last Wednesday morning is still in the intensive care unit of the Hillcrest Burn Center, Tulsa, and “holding his own,” relatives reported today.
