Gateway First Bank honors local Veterans

Gateway First Bank in Tonkawa is hosting an open house celebration in honor of Veterans Day on Wednesday, November 10, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The bank is located at 111 East Grand. Veterans and their families are invited so that the community can recognize their selfless contributions and sacrifices.

THS Art raising money for Veteran grave markers

THS Art is kicking off a fundraiser for the next three weeks to raise money for veteran grave markers at the Tonkawa IOOF Cemetery. Students will place donation boxes at the following locations Chamber of Commerce, First National Bank, Gateway Bank, Jim’s Barber Shop, Quiddy’s, Hammerheads, Mary’s Tonkawa Grill, Jiffy Trip, and Moore’s Venture Food. Anyone wishing to mail a donation please send to Tonkawa High School 500 East North Ave. 74653 to the attention of Dawn Huff. If you have questions, you can call Mrs. Huff at the high school 580-628-2566 ext. 1.

Northern Spooktacular concert will be Thursday at arts center

The Northern Oklahoma College Division of Fine Arts presents the Halloween Spooktacular Concert Thursday, Oct. 28 at the Kinzer Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Thursday’s event features NOC’s Concert Band and Jazz Band.

The investiture for Dr. Clark Harris, the 14th president for Northern Oklahoma College, will be held Friday, Oct. 29, in the Foster-Piper Fieldhouse on the Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa campus at 2 p.m.
