Sample ballots available for November 5, 2024 election

Sample ballots are now available for the November 5, 2024 Election. There are two ballot styles for Kay County, those who can vote for State Representative District 38, and those who can vote for State Representative District 37. Voters can download a sample ballot using the State Election Board OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.gov/election/ovp or pick up a copy at the Kay County Election Board during normal business hours.

Hanging Out At The Museum

I must say Sunday afternoon really put me in a fall spirit. Stepping out of the house I thought I’d better give the plants in the wheel barrow a drink and was greeted by this visitor (see picture). Haven’t seen a monarch butterfly that cool in a while.

THS cheer GameDay showcase and Regional GameDay competition dates announced

The Tonkawa High School Varsity Cheer and Bucs spirit will be competing in GameDay regions at Stroud on Saturday, November 9 at 1:55 pm. To prepare for this, on Friday, November 1 at 5:30 pm in the event center, there will be a showcase demonstrating what they will be performing at regionals. Come support THS cheerleaders before you walk over to the football field to cheer on our Buccaneer football boys on senior night!

I am past my Social Security full retirement age, and I am still working. I am married and we file our income tax jointly. My husband is 64 and is not working now, but he may, or may not, be able to work in the next year or so. At what point will my Social Security benefits be taxed, if I decide to take them now?
