Football contest
Travis Parker of Tonkawa wins first and $10 in the Weekly Tonkawa News Football Contest.
Second and $7 goes to Mark Martin of Tonkawa. Third place and $3 goes to Martha Parker of Tonkawa.
All three submitted perfect entries. Parker won first because he guessed the Buc win over Woodland 48-20, just 16 points off the actual 42-30 win. Martin was 22 off, picking the Bucs 35-15. Martha Parker was 26 points off picking a 32-14 Buc win.
Entries should be submitted to The News office at 126 E. Grand by noon Friday each week.
Prize money is $10 for first, $7 for second and $3 for third.
Winners will be announced in the following week’s edition.
Entrants are urged to circle a winner for each game and fill in the tie-breaker score. Be sure your name is on the entry.
