Football contest
Tracy Summers of Tonkawa wins first and $10 in the Weekly Tonkawa News Football Contest.
Second and $7 goes to Shelly Martin of Tonkawa. Third place and $3 goes to Dayna Sheets of Blackwell.
Summers was the lone entry to just miss one game.
Several missed two. Martin wins second because she was closest on the tie-breaker, picking OU to win 42-31, just eight points off the final 34-31 victory. Sheets was 12 points off, picking OU to lose 35-42. McGaha was just out of the money, 17 points off with a 42-40 OU winning score.
Entries should be submitted to The News office at 126 E. Grand by noon Friday each week.
Prize money is $10 for first, $7 for second and $3 for third.
Winners will be announced in the following week’s edition.
