Tonkawa junior varsity continued their unbeaten ways Monday night with a 14-6 win over Alva.Kace Tautfest got the scoring started for the Bucs with a five yard touchdown run. It was set up by a Brett Shepherd fumble recovery. The PAT pass failed.Tonkawa went up 14-0 with a 23 yard scoring toss from Matthew Gottman to Loudyn Alexander. Then the same two hooked up for the two-point conversion for a 14-0 lead at halftime.Alexander also got an interception in the second quarter and the Bucs covered an Alva fumble late in the first quarter at the Goldbug 8, but failed to convert it to points. Coach Kale Dice believes it was Tautfest who covered the fumble for Tonkawa.Alva managed their lone score late in the game, but the PAT run failed.Their next game will be Monday, Oct. 2, at Pawnee.
