Tonkawa midhi football teams swept a twinbill vs. Blackwell Monday night.The seventh graders won 28-0. The eighth graders won 38-0.Tonkawa will host Alva here next Monday. Seventh grade action gets under way at 5 p.m. The Buc seventh grade is 2-0 on the season. The eighth graders are 1-1.Cason Johnson threw for two touchdowns, the first an 11 yarder to Bly Frieouf set up by a Kade Ditmore fumble recovery. Kace Tautfest ran for the two point conversion. Early in the second quarter, Johnson connected with Tautfest for a 47 yard passing touchdown. Tautfest ran for the conversion.A Carter Lopeman interception set up the next score, a 65 yard run by Tautfest. The Bucs led 22-0 at halftime.Ditmore would pick up another fumble in the third period.The final TD came on a 23 yard run by Kayson Thompson at the 4:01 mark of the final period.EIGHTH GRADELucas Keith scored on a 53 yard run early in the first period to get the scoring onslaught under way. Cayden Duvall hit Keith for the PAT.Gavin Ward blocked a punt to get the eighth graders started in the second quarter. Lucas Keith ran 38 yards and added the PAT run to go up 16-0 with 7:16 still left in the first half.Eli Pappan picked up a Maroon fumble at the 4:40 mark before halftime and ran 30 yards for a touchdown. Keith added the PAT run to up it 24-0 at the end of two quarters.Pappan covered another fumble early in the third period.Nate Strong ran 6 yards for the TD and Keith ran the conversion to up the score to 32-0.The final TD came on a 49 yard run by Keith with 1:36 left in the game.
