Miccael Brown at 285 placed third in the Class 3A state wrestling tournament.
He scored 13 points for Tonkawa in the state meet.
After getting upset in the first round he battled back and placed third. He avenged his first loss in the tournament in the placing round beating the Commanche hwt 4-0, Head Coach Gage Martin said.
The Buc wrestlers had to overcome adversity the entire season, battling through injuries, COVID and the school going virtual so the team couldn’t compete. “We have a young team so we look forward to next year,” Martin said.
