Miccael Brown is the 93rd qualifier for the THS Danny Bllubaugh Memorial All-Star Showcase.Miccael qualified as an Oklahoma Coaches Association (OCA) selection to the 2021 All-State football team. He was selected as a defensive lineman and plans to play in the OCA All-State football game scheduled this summer in Shawnee, OK.Miccael’s parents are Isha Brown and Clifford Narvell, his sister is Zandreeah Brown, and his grandparents are James and Dru Brown.Miccael participated in football for four years under Coach Mike Kirtley. He played guard and tackle on offense and nose guard on defense. He was selected as District A-3 All-District Lineman his senior year.His senior year he played at 6 foot-l inches and 275 pounds. He played on the 2018 Class A State Championship team with a 14-1 record his freshman year. His junior and senior years THS made the playoffs but lost in the third round both years. He played with Dallin Hacker on the 2018 team who was also an OCA All-Stater and THS All-Star Showcase qualifier.Miccael also participated in wrestling for four years under Coach Gage Martin. He qualified for the state tournament three years (2020, 2021, and 2022). He placed third his junior year. His overall record his senior year was 33 wins and 5 losses; with 28 falls. He won the Eastern regional tournament and other tournaments his senior year. SaVanna Linton and Miccael were chosen as wrestling homecoming queen and King in 2022.Miccael also competed in track for four years under Coach Mike Kirtley. He competed in the shot-put and discusses.Miccael feels sports has played a big role in his life by keeping him focused. He also credits his teachers and coaches at THS for assisting him in many ways; he said they helped him better himself, both on and off the field.Miccael has lived with his grandparents, James and Dru Brown who live in Tonkawa while he attended THS. They have provided a stable environment for Miccael that has obviously helped him navigate through high school as well as he has. Had it not been for James and Dru, Miccael may not have attended THS and been an asset to the community.Miccael plans to attend college and continue playing sports but has not yet chosen a school where he will begin the next chapter in his life.
