Martha Parker wins first and gets $10 in the weekly Tonkawa News Football Contest.Second and $7 goes to Chuck Neeley.Third place and $3 goes to Shelly Martin.Parker and Neeley were the only entries that missed only one pick. Parker was closest on the tie-breaker picking the Bucs to beat Morrison 28-16, just one point off of the actual 27-16 Tonkawa win. Neeley was nine points off, picking a 35-14 Tonkawa win.Martin was among five who just missed two picks. On the tiebreaker she was right on with her score guess at 27-16.Others who missed two games but were farther off on the tiebreaker included Peggy Neeley, Mike Smith, Tracy Summers and Marissa Parker.Entries should be submitted to The News office at 126 E. Grand by noon Friday each week during the regular season.Prize money is $10 for first, $7 for second and $3 for third.Winners will be announced in the following week’s edition.Entrants are urged to circle a winner for each game and fill in the tie-breaker score.
