Martha Parker of Tonkawa wins first and $10 in the Weekly
Tonkawa News Football Contest.
Second and $7 goes to Travis Parker of Tonkawa. Third place and $3 goes to Shelly Martin of Tonkawa.
All three missed one game on the contest, so it came down to the tie-breaker. Parker picked Tonkawa to win 28-14, 30 off the final Pawnee 22-6 win. Parker was 33 off, picking the Bucs 34-27.
Martin was 44 off, naming Tonkawa 42-30.
Several missed two games.
Entries should be submitted to The News office at 126 E. Grand by noon Friday each week.
Prize money is $10 for first, $7 for second and $3 for third.
Winners will be announced in the following week’s edition.
Entrants are urged to circle a winner for each game and fill in the tie-breaker score. Be sure your name is on the entry.
