Mark Martin of Tonkawa wins first and $10 in the Weekly
Tonkawa News Football Contest.
Second and $7 goes to Peggy Neely of Tonkawa. Third place and $3 goes to Dawn McGaha of Tonkawa.
Martin was the lone entry missing two. Several missed three games. Neely won second by being just 11 points off of the tiebreaker game between Tonkawa and Barnsdall. she picked the
Panthers to win 14-28, 11 points off the actual 8-33 loss. McGaha was third with a pick of the Bucs 21-20, 26 points off. Others who missed three games but were farther off on the tie-breaker were
Mike Smith and Chuck Neely.
Entries should be submitted to The News office at 126 E. Grand by noon Friday each week.
Prize money is $10 for first, $7 for second and $3 for third.
Winners will be announced in the following week’s edition.
Entrants are urged to circle a winner for each game and fill in the tie-breaker score. Be sure your name is on the entry.
