The #19 Eastern Lady Mountaineers showed why they are nationally ranked Saturday with a 105-71 win over the Lady Mavs Saturday in Tonkawa.Eastern (16-3) improved to 7-0 in the OCAC while NOC (9-8) fell to 4-3 in league play.Jordan Holman led the Lady Mavs with 35 points while Delaney Reimer added 13.“We didn’t shoot well, didn’t defend the baseline, and didn’t rebound very effectively,” said coach Greg Krause. “Some of that may be fatigue from playing two good teams in three days, one on the road. But this is conference time and nothing from anyone comes easy. We need to step back up and battle in preparation for the stretch run in conference.”Eastern led NOC 48-31 at half. The Lady Mavs shot 33% from the field and 25% from 3-point range. Eastern shot 49% from the floor and 51% from behind the arc.Saturday’s game was a rescheduled date from earlier in January.NOC Tonkawa hosts Western Jan. 27 for Homecoming at 5:30 p.m.
