Tonkawa Lady Buc soft-ballers begin Class 2A Regional Tournament play at Wyandotte Thursday, Oct. 3.
The Lady Bucs will meet Howe in the first round at 2 p.m. Thursday.
Win and the Lady Bucs play the Wyandotte-Cashion winner at 6 p.m. Lose and they play at 4 p.m.
The Lady Bucs qualified for the regionals by finishing third in District 8 which includes OK Union, Drumright, Caney Valley, Nowata, Pawhuska, Pawnee and Tonkawa.
Going into the tourney, the Lady Bucs take a 10-win, 15-loss record.
In action this past week, the Lady Bucs fell to Pawhuska 41-16 Friday, Sept. 27 and Newkirk 0-12 Tuesday, Sept. 24.
Taylor Mercer doubled in the game vs. Pawhuska last Friday. Camaryn Alexander and Jaci Johnson had stolen bases.
Skylee Perkins and Autumn Roberts each had two RBI’s. Mercer pitched 3.2 innings, striking out one. Jules Thompson pitched as well.
