Tonkawa’s Lady Bucs fast pitch softball team will be heading to the Class 2A Regionals Thursday and Friday.
Tonkawa will be in the Class 2A Region 6 at Wyandotte Thursday and Friday. (See bracket below).
They open Thursday at 2 p.m. vs. wilburton.
Regional winners advance to the state tournament.
The Lady Bucs swept Okemah 9-1 and 14-1 Monday in a Bi-District championship game at Tonkawa Monday afternoon.
Pitcher Taylor Mercer, pitching in both wins, struck out 13 in the two games, 10 in the first game.
Tonkawa will take a 13-11 record into the double elimination regional format this week.
