TISHOMINGO, Oklahoma – The Northern Oklahoma College Women’s Soccer team picked up their first win of 2022 with a 5-2 win at Murray State on Sunday.Sophomore Josie Jarvis led the Mavs with two goals while Sam Mendez, Mia Yerian, and Chloe Wilkins added one each. Jazmine Furra added three assists.“Every win is a good win, but this one could have been much better,” DuRoy said. “We should have scored nine goals today. We missed so many chances early. We also continue to get beaten on the counter. We need to organize our midfield so we aren’t so open to counters, and we need to play the midfielders that are not only going to keep possession of the ball, but also win balls in the midfield, and defend hard. Our heading of the ball was atrocious, or I should say lack of heading the ball. On a positive though Josie Jarvis has really saved us so far this year. She is our leading scorer with three goals.”
