(USACE Lake Level) Largemouth bass good on plastic baits, rogues, spinnerbaits, and topwater lures around flats, shallows, and shorelines. Blue and channel catfish good on shad around flats and main lake. Striped bass hybrids and white bass fair on plastic baits, sassy shad, and spoons around coves and main lake. Comments: The catfish bite remains decent on the upper parts of the lake while drifting shad. Find the bait-find the fish! Elevation is 1.5 ft. above normal and falling, water temperature 84°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level) Striped bass hybrids and white bass good on Alabama rigs, live shad, and slabs around main lake and riprap. Blue and channel catfish excellent on cut bait, shad, and shrimp around flats. Largemouth and spotted bass on crankbaits, jigs, and topwater lures around points, riprap, and shorelines. Comments: Blue and channel catfish are still feeding good in the coon creek flats. Jugline and rodand- reel anglers are both catching lots of nice fish in the 3-15 lb. range. Early morning and late evening seem to be best. Crappie are in their summer patterns on brush piles in the main lake and those fishermen with forward facing sonars are starting to catch them in 15-20 ft. of water on jigs and minnows.
