Crappie excellent on hair jigs, minnows, and plastic baits around brush structure, docks, and shorelines. Blue and channel catfish good on live bait and shad around river channel. Comments: Crappie spawn is in full swing, and the bite is red hot in the shallows, near docks, and shallow brush. They are hitting about anything you throw at them if you can avoid snagging the structure!! Paddlefish snagging slowed down on Grand with warming weather. Striped hybrid and white bass good on grubs, jigs, live bait, minnows, and sassy shad around river channel and river mouth. Paddlefish good on snagging around main lake, river channel, river mouth, and below the dam. Comments: Most paddlefish being caught below the dam are 10-25 pounds or less.
