Football contest
The final Tonkawa News holiday football contest is beng run today. It includes several collegiate bowl games.
Entries should be submitted to The News office at 126 E. Grand by noon this Friday.
Prize money is $10 for first, $7 for second and $3 for third.
Winners will be announced as soon as they are determined.
Entrants are urged to circle a winner for each game and fill in the tie-breaker score. Be sure your name is on the entry.

Buc wrestlers fall to Blackwell in first dual of season
In the first dual action of the young Tonkawa wrestling season, the Tonkawa Bucs fell to the Blackwell Maroons.
Both midhi and varsity teams lost.
“I was pleased with how we competed Tuesday night,” Head
Coach Gage Martin said, “We looked more aggressive, our shape looked good and Tristan
Burdick looked good in his first match in two years.”
Burdick at 145, Joby Jauregui at 152 and Miccael
Brown at Hvy all won by falls.
