Dawn McGaha wins first and gets $10 in the weekly Tonkawa News Football Contest.
It was the final Holiday football contest of the season.
Second and $7 goes to Travis Parker.
Third place and $3 goes to Marissa Parker.
All of the winners missed one game. McGaha was closest on the tie-breaker between OSU and Miami, guessing a 42-32 Cowboy win, just seven points off of the actual 37-34 score.
Travis parker was 9 off with a 34-28 guess and Marissa was 18 off with a 38-17 guess.
There was only one other entry that missed one -- Mike Smith, but he was farther off on the tiebreaker.
Prize winnings should be picked up by Monday, Jan. 11, or it will be forfeited.
Entries should be submitted to The News office at 126 E. Grand by noon Friday each week during the regular season.
Prize money is $10 for first, $7 for second and $3 for third.
Winners will be announced in the following week’s edition.
Entrants are urged to circle a winner for each game and fill in the tie-breaker score. Be sure your name is on the entry.
Winners are urged to pick up their cash at the office, 126 E. Grand, Tonkawa, as soon as possible.
