Noah Campbell homered as the Tonkawa Bucs bested Frontier 7-3 in the season opener here Monday night.
Blake Scott doubled twice. Dylan Hamilton and Cody Morgan also had doubles in the home opener at Buc Stadium.
Scott and Campbell each had two RBI’s and Hamilton and Morgan one each.
Parker Miller and Jake Randal each stole two bases.
Scoring for Tonkawa were Randall 2, Miller, Scott, Hamilton, Morgan and Campbell one each. Kai Day and Chazz Slavens both pitched. Day pitched 3.2 innings, striking out three. Slavens pitched 3.1 innings, striking out five.
The win puts the Bucs at 1-0 for the season. They will host Newkirk 5 p.m. Thursday and go to Pond Creek Monday before returning home vs. Pawnee next Tuesday.
