Tonkawa Buc basketball teams will be involved in Class 2A Regional action at Hennessey this weekend.
The Buc boys won the district championship with a 68-44 win over Mounds Monday night.
The Lady Bucs fell to Mounds 51-60.
The Lady Bucs will play in the first round of consolation at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hennessey. If they win they’ll play again at 6 p.m. Friday. The consolation finals will be 1 p.m. Saturday. Lose the the Lady Bucs’ season is over.
The Buc boys will play at 8 p.m. Thursday vs. the Stroud-Hennessey winner. Win and the Bucs don’t play until 8 p.m. Saturday in the regional championship game. Lose and the Bucs will play at 3 p.m. Friday. The consolation finals will be 3 p.m. Saturday.
The area tournament will be at the Stride Center, Enid.
Jake Randall and Chazz Slavens led the Bucs scoring in the win with 25 and 20 points respectively.
Karlee Jacobs, Mikayla Myer and Karlee Meadows all scored in double figures for the Lady Bucs with 18, 13 and 11 points respectively.
