Kick off is at 7 p.m.A year ago, Tonkawa fell to the Maroons 26-39.Offensively they run multiple formations and “their quarterback is an exceptional runner and passer.”Don’t be misled by Perry’s record at 0-2. Both losses came to highly ranked Class A ballclubs Pawhuska and Cashion.“They’re truly battle tested,” Kirtley said. “And they gave Pawhuska all they wanted before succumbing.”Defensively, the Maroons will be in a 3-4 alignment.Tonkawa is coming off a 40-3 Kay County Bedlam battle with Newirk last Thursday night, their only game of the season so far.“We didn’t make glaring mistakes and didn’t have the dumb penalties,” Kirtley said. “We still have a lot of work to do but I was proud of the effort.”The veteran head coach said the Bucs “lined up where they were supposed to be for the most part. They worked together and showed a lot of good chemistry and played with a lot of passion.”
