To the fans, this game was in doubt until the final four minutes.
But not really.
Not when you play defense like Tonkawa does.
Tulsa NOAH had scored over 120 points in its first two ball games.
Not on Tonkawa’s watch.
The Jags got to the Buc red-zone once the entire ball game and that came midway through the first quarter when they took a 6-0 lead.
That would be it.
Zilch.
The Bucs didn’t let the Jags into the redzone the rest of the night.
Sure, they got close. Tonkawa’s defense is known to bend on occasion, but never break.
And it didn’t Friday night.
Tonkawa’s offense, on the other hand, made five trips to scoring territory and capitalized on three.

Tonkawa proceeded down-field, covering 58 yards in seven plays. Jake Randall caught an eight yard TD pass from Burdick at the 4:16 mark before halftime. the kick failed. But the Bucs led 13-6.

Both teams traded punts through the third quarter.
Parker Miller intercepted at the Buc one and Tonkawa was pinned deep early in the fourth quarter.
On fourth down, after trying to no avail to advance the ball, the punt snap was fumbled out of the endzone for a ...
