In Homecoming bout vs. Drumright Friday
Tonkawa s football Bucs begins defense of its District A-5 title
Friday night, hosting winless Drumright this Friday at 7 p.m.
And it’s Homecoming.
The Tornadoes have lost three straight -- to Hulber 6-40, cashion 8-42 and Barnsdall 0-59.
The Bucs, on the other hand, are coming off three straight wins
-- over 3A Blackwell 36-34, 2A Newkirk 41-0 and Tulsa NOAH 20-8.
Tonkawa had to come from behind in two of those three ball games.
The Tornadoes will be in a spread offense and a four-front defense.

Kirtley said the NOAH game was “hard fought by both teams. It was tough, I think tougher than lots of people thought it would be. The effort was good by both teams.” And he added that after watching the film the officiating wasn’t as bad as first thought.
