Tonkawa Buc baseballers beat Barnsdall 2-1 for the North Country Conference title Saturday morning at Woodland.
The wins upped Tonkawa’s record to 10-6 overall.
The Bucs were to play at home vs. Glencoe Tuesday night.
In the tournament, Tonkawa beat Pawnee 10-7 in the first round and Pawhuska 6-2 in the semifinals. Monday night, the Bucs fell to Pawnee 4-6.,
Tonkawa 4 Pawnee 6
Blake Scott hit two doubles and Dylan Hamilton hit one, but it wasn’t enough as the Bucs fell to Pawnee Monday night 4-6. Scott also had a single. Alexander and Hook each had two singles, Hamilton and Day one each.
Brandon Alexander, Kai Day, Jake Randall and Scott each had RBI’s.
Day and Hamilton each had stolen bases.
Scoring for the Bucs were Parker Miller, Brady Hook, Day and Noah Campbell.
The game was tied 4-4 going into the top of the fourth and remained tied until Pawnee scored the winning runs in the top of the seventh.
Alexander pitched 6.2 innings, striking out seven. Chazz Slavens pitched the final out.

Blake Scott homered for the Bucs in the 10-7 win over Pawnee Friday afternoon.
Parker Miller pitched four innings, striking out two. Brady Hook pitched the final two innings, striking out four.
Dylan Hamilton scored three runs, Chazz Slavens and Cameron Grein two each and Parker Miller, Scott, and Hook one each.
Scott had two RBI’s while Brandon Alexander, Grein, Hook and Miller each had one.
Hamilton stole two bases, Kai Day, Grein and Slavens one each.
Tonkawa 6 Pawhuska 2
Hamilton tripled for the Bucs in the 6-2 Pawhuska win. He also pitched all seven innings, striking out eight. Grein, Hamilton, Hook and Slavens each had RBI’s.
Jake Randall had a stolen base. Runs were scored by Slavens, Scott, alexander, Hook, Hamilton and Randall.
Tonkawa 2 Barnsdall 1
The Panthers took the lead 1-0 in the top of the fourth innings, but the Bucs came back in the bottom of the fifth for two runs and that was enough to pull off the win and a conference championship.
Brady Hook pitched the first five innings, striking out five and allowing only one hit. Alexander pitched the final two innings, striking out two.
Slavens got the two RBI’s off a single that put the Bucs on top. Miller led Buc hitters with two singles.
Runs were scored by Miller and Randall. Hamilton had two stolen bases, Miller and Randall one each.
