Tonkawa wrestlers placed five in the Inola tournament last weekend.
Carson Robinson at 126 won first place and was a perfect 4-0 in the one day tournament,
Placing second were Beau Murphy at 113 and Tristan Burdick at 145. Murphy lost in overtime in the championship match.
Joby Jauregui at 152 and Miccael Brown at 285 were both fourth.
The team placed fifth in the tourney.
Tonkawa was to wrestle Barnsdall here Tuesday night and will go to the Western Conference Tournament at Kingfisher this Friday and Saturday. Wrestling for both varsity and midhi team members will get under way at noon both days. The Bucs are to go to Pawhuska next Tuesday for a midhi and varsity dual.
In a dual last Tuesday afternoon vs. Perkins, Buc wrestlers Beau Murphy at 113, Tristan Burdick at 145, Joby Jauregui at 152, Noah Campbell at 160 and Ethan Howard at 170 all won by falls. The Bucs lost the dual 30-52 but forfeited matches at 106, 120, 182, 195, and 220 weight divisions.
