Tonkawa 2021 footballers are to meet at 8 a.m. this Friday to check out equipment and and do paperwork. Physicals will be offered at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Event Center.
Football will start in ernest with practice at 6 p.m. Monday, aug. 9, Head Coach Mike Kirtley announced.
Two pre-season scrimmages are due with Hominy, OK Union and Stroud in one and Woodland for another. dates and times will be announced later.
The Bucs open the season Thursday, Sept.2 vs. Newkirk here at 7 p.m.
Kirtley said numbers at summer pride have been good, mostly in the 20’s.
The first day of school will be Thursday, Aug. 12, and full pads will be donned Friday, Aug. 13. At that time, practices will be after school each day.
