Tonkawa seventh-eighth grade teams beat Morrison 18-8 Thursday, Oct. 8.
It was the first win of the year for the eighth graders.
The midhi teams were to close out the season vs. Newkirk Monday night.
Cayden Duvall scored two of the Buc touchdowns. The first came on a two yard run late in the second quarter.
The final one came on an 81 yard interception return as time ran out of the ball game.
Ghostbear Davis scored from the one yard line with 1:11 left in the game to take a 12-0 lead. Morrison then completed a 75 yard touchdown pass followed by a two point conversion with 50 seconds left in the game. The Wildcats proceeded to cover an onside kick at the Buc 26, trailing 8-12.
That’s when Duvall put the game out of reach with the interception return for the score.
Duvall had two interceptions in the game. Rush Brown also had one.
Duvall also covered a fumble for the Bucs.
Kylan Lieb set the Bucs up at the Morrison 13, when he tackled the punter after the hike went over the kicker’s head.
