On Friday, May 24, Hospice of North Central Oklahoma Inc. will host the 26th Annual Hospice
Memorial Golf Tournament at Lew Wentz Memorial Golf Course in Ponca City. Shot-gun start is at 8:00 a.m. and refreshments and snacks will be provided throughout the morning with a lunch and awards ceremony to follow at the outdoor courtyard of Ody’s courtesy of D&P Tank and Ody’s.
“We are very excited about this year’s tournament. Amy Burdick has done an outstanding job of preparing for the tournament and we are confident of its success. Funds raised through this event provide needed support for the many programs offered at no cost to hospice patients and this community”, stated Wendy Stobbe, Chief Executive Officer.
The cost per golfer is $100, which covers the 18 holes of golf, two mulligans, golf cart rental, refreshments and snacks throughout the tournament and a catered lunch at Ody’s courtyard. Individuals, churches, organizations and companies can honor a loved one by sponsoring a hole for $200, with signage recognizing the donor and the one being remembered.
As in years past, part of the tournament’s tradition is the recognition of one or two golfers who have recently passed and have been patients of Hospice of North Central Oklahoma. However, because of the 26th anniversary milestone it was decided to look back and celebrate again all of those recognized over the past 25 years.
