On the scoreboard, the Northern Oklahoma College Mavericks had an easy 4-2 win over Pratt Community College, but in reality, coach Michael DuRoy was disappointed in the play of the #17 Mavs.“It wasn’t our best game,” said coach Michael DuRoy. “We have to find a way to be better and that’s on me. I have to be a better teacher. We have had so many people out with quarantine and injuries that it has been hard to get any continuity. We had eight players out today and that’s tough. This team has a ton of potential because we have so many players that can score, but we have to find two players that can hold down the center midfield. We also need to be much more organized defensively.”NOC scoring centered around Damorney Hutchinson and Jarod Frye who each scored two goals. Hutchinson leads the Mavs with three goals in three games. The Mavs had 13 shots on goal compared Pratt’s 10.Keeper Leon Schmitter had eight saves for NOC, allowing two goals.Friday’s game was tied at 2-2 in the second half when the Mavs put the game away with two goals to remain undefeated.
