recently donated books to Tonkawa Public Schools. The donation is a youth project focused on promoting patriotism and teaching kids about veterans. Book titles include Why America Matters, What Does It Mean to Be American?, Veterans, Heroes in our Neighborhood, and Twenty-Steps. These books will be placed in the libraries of both schools for students to check out and enjoy. Making the presentation to Misty Bess, Library Media Specialist for Tonkawa Schools, are Lynda McDaniel, President of VFW Auxiliary #1201, and Marilyn Ramey.
