The Pioneer Technology Center (PTC) May Students of the Month are Emily Tarr and Mariah Waters. Representing the Emergency Services program, Tarr is a junior from Frontier High School in Red Rock. According to her instructor, Tarr displays a strong desire to succeed; she works hard and has a great attitude towards learning. As a leader, she works until the job is done and helps fellow students when needed. Representing the Medical Assisting program, Mariah Waters, an adult student from Fairfax, is in her third year at PTC. Waters attended the Health Careers I & II programs in high school and is currently a HOSA Chapter Historian and Reporter. She won first place in the State HOSA Health Career Photography competition in April and will be advancing on to the international competition in June.
