The Tonkawa School Board Monday night approved a district operating budget totalling $6,595,454.86, according to Superintendent Lori Simpson.
All five members of the board were present for the monthly board meeting -- Cara Beth Johnson, Casey McAninch, Nancy Appleman, Mary Allan and Jerry Hook.
Simpson also released the certified numbers for the October accreditation report for Tonkawa Public schools.
She listed 798 total enrollment with 89 gifted/talented, 14 limited english proficient, one immigrant, 44 bilingual, 471 free/reduced and 133 special education students.
In other action, the board:
-- Approved Indian policies and procedures.
-- Approved a schedule for 2020 board meetings: Jan. 13, Feb. 10, March 9, april 13, May 11, June 8, July 13, august 10, Sept. 14, Oct. 12, Nov. 9 and Dec. 14. All are Monday meetings.
-- Approved general fund purchase orders totalling $57,169.64.
-- Approved changes to the Child Nutrition Procurement Plan.
-- Approved a Child Nutrition smart snack policy.
-- Approved making application for e-rate and impact aid.
