Tonkawa residents are invited to participate in a local virtual health and wellness online discussion event.
The TSET Healthy Living Program in Kay County has scheduled a “City of Tonkawa Online Public Discussion” to begin at 12:00 PM on January 28, 2021, on Zoom.
The Online Public Discussion is a group discussion style that encourages collaborative conversations and the sharing of knowledge and experiences that leads to plans for action. In this event, Tonkawa residents will have the opportunity to share their ideas on local wellness that can help transform their city into a healthier place to live.
Participants must pre-register for the Zoom meeting in order to join. The registration link can be found on the programs Facebook Page through the Sign Up button or under the scheduled event. To get the registration link emailed or to learn more, contact Jenny Creech, Program Coordinator of the TSET Healthy Living Program in Kay County, at jenny.creech@okstate.edu or (580) 765-2476.
While this event is planned for Tonkawa, Creech said the Healthy Living Program plans to host online discussion events in other neighboring cities and towns in the coming weeks so they, too, can voice their opinions and suggestions for improving local health and wellness.
