From October 22-26, 2024, the Tonkawa FFA Officer Team had the amazing opportunity to participate in the 97th National FFA Convention held in Indianapolis, Indiana. This enriching experience allowed our team to engage with fellow FFA members from across the nation, fostering connections and sharing a passion for agricultural education.Throughout the convention, our officers immersed themselves in a variety of sessions designed to enhance leadership skills. We were inspired by accomplished speakers and took part in team-building activities that strengthen our bonds and teamwork. The invaluable lessons learned during these sessions will undoubtedly contribute to the growth and success of our local FFA chapter. In addition to the convention's informative sessions, we participated in educational tours throughout the Indianapolis area, which left us with a renewed sense of pride for our hometown. One of the most memorable moments of our trip was witnessing our own Tonkawa FFA alumni, Savannah Neighbors and Tyler Gilbert, receive their American FFA Degrees on the national stage. Their hard work and dedication to achieving this prestigious honor are commendable, and we are incredibly proud of their accomplishments. We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our community for the unwavering support of our FFA chapter. This experience would not have been possible without the encouragement and resources provided by our local supporters.Article submitted by Kaelyn Ramey, Tonkawa FFA Chapter Reporter.
