Thirsty Thursday is set for September 19 at the Art Center of Tonkawa. For just $10 a ticket at the door, community members are given the opportunity to make and take a craft and receive 2 beverages and refreshments.This Thursday’s guest artist is Nadya Cartmell. She is a native of Ukraine and has made a name for herself as an incredible artist. Cartmell taught home economics for 23 years, boys wood shop class for 8 years, and been an art teacher. She has lived in the United States with her husband since 2009. From quiltmaking to pencil and oil painting, she has experience in a number of artistic techniques and prefers realism in art. She is an award-winning artist with pieces that move people.Head to the Art Center of Tonkawa on September 19 for Thirsty Thursday to experience the work of Nadya Cartmell, create your own craft, and enjoy refreshments.
