The Tonkawa school board will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 9, to discuss hiring of an assistant principal and athletic director at Tonkawa midhi/high school for the 2023-24 school year.The special meeting will include a secret session to discuss the applicants.Kyle Simpson, current principal and athletic director, will retire in July. Stony Fath has been hired as the new high school principal.In other action the board will hire a new evening janitor at the grade school, adopt a new pay scale for support personnel at the school effecitve March 1, 2023; approve building fund purchase order encumbrance number five and approve the 2022-23 TPS textbook committee.The board will meet next in regular session at 5:30 p.m. March 22.
