The friendly neighborhood market, Venture Foods, was struck by a scam artist on September 24. They announced that they were able to catch on video the exact moment that the person placed a skimmer on a register at the store.At 6:18 pm on September 24 the skimmer was placed and by 6:50 pm it was discovered that same evening. Though the store was very quick to realize a skimmer had been placed, those shopping during that time are still at risk. There is a potential threat to the customers debit or credit cards.Venture Foods is working closely with the Tonkawa Police Department to identify next steps and steps to prevent this in the future to protect their customers.“We deeply apologize and urge you to take caution by keeping an eye on your accounts and take necessary precautions to protect yourself and your accounts,” says Venture Foods.
