Happy Hearts group hosted by Sanchez
The Happy Hearts and Homes OHCE group met June 10, 2019 at the Eastern Heights Christian Church of Ponca City. The lesson: “Utilizing Made in Oklahoma (MIO) Products” was presented by Dana Stahl, hostess was Maria Sanchez. Members answering the roll call question “What product is made in Oklahoma and is also sold outside the state”? was Linda Blakley, Betty Hasselbring, Alieda Key, Maria Sanchez, Diana Scott, Dana Stahl, Gloria Viveros, Glenna Wiles, Lorna Wilson and guest Destiny Contreras.
Topics discussed were: the delivery of cookie trays delivered to the Ponca City and Tonkawa fire and police departments and the Ponca City and Tonkawa newspaper offices. The possibility of having t-shirts made for the group, and the trip to the Inspirational Tea Room in Edmond. Members making the trip to Edmond were: Cindy Empting, Betty Hasselbring, Lorna Wilson, Maria Sanchez, Diana Scott, Gloria Viveros and Linda Blakley. On the way to Edmond, the group stopped in Guthrie to shop at the Sealed With a Kiss Yarn shop and the Sooner Quilt shop. Everyone had a great time.
Diana Scott told the group she will be having a pour painting workshop sometime in July, she will let everyone know the date as soon as possible. The fair list was reviewed and more items were chosen by the members.. The sewing tip was given by Lorna Wilson – clean your cutting mat with a lint remover. The health tip was given by Maria Sanchez – try to stay away from sick people. The door prize was won by Betty Hasselbring and the meeting was adjourned.
