The I-35-U.S. 60 overpass replacement project has been moved to November of 2021, City Manager Kirk Henderson announced at the recent meeting of the mayor and city council.
The North Main sidewalk project bid will be let by the department of Transportation in April this year, he also noted.
In other action at the Tuesday, Jan. 21, meeting of the council, Councilmen Jack Evans, Scott Klufa and Glenn Cope: (Ken Smith and Stacy Burns were absent)
-- Approved a resolution to make application to the Oklahoma Department of Commerce for 2020 CDBG water system improvements grant and use $150,000 of city sales tax funds to leverage the project for the city’s share.
-- Awarded a bid for automatic vehicle exhaust removal system for the Tonkawa Fire Department to air Cleaning Tehnologies, Inc. for $57,297.
-- Authorized The Pride Committee to spend $2,000 for repair of the Tonkawa Welcome sign on North Main due to vandalism.
-- Approved the financial report as presented. The city has $8,137,470 in total cash, up $294,998 from last month -with $2,456,071 in unrestricted cash and $5,243,407 in restricted cash.
