Northern Oklahoma College reported an increase in enrollment for Fall 2024 at the September Board of Regents meeting held Wednesday at NOC Enid.The preliminary enrollment report stated at NOC has 3,126 students, an institution wide increase of 41 students.NOC is also up 5% in credit hour production over Fall 2024.The regents also approved a redesign of the school’s website for the institution choosing Cave Interactive Media. The selection was made after a campus ad-hoc committee investigated three vendor finalists who submitted bids. Cave Interactive Media is the current website host for NOC since 2020 but was not the designer of the school’s current site. The estimated launch of the new site is targeted for March 2025.The financial report, provided by Vice President for Academic Affairs Anita Simpson was approved as well as the monthly purchases and monthly allocations.Monthly purchases included NOC’s Learning Management System Annual Review (Blackboard) at a cost of $48, 715.00, Sheep Center pick-up truck at a cost of $55,518.00, Kinzer Performing Arts Center Roof Replacement at a cost of $164,700.00, and an upgrade of security cameras at NOC Enid at a cost of $49,504.82. The security update, from deferred maintenance dollars provided by the Oklahoma State Legislature, would provide approximately 50 cameras.Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Shelly Mencacci reported that NOC received $140,118.00 in additional money through the Native American Serving Non-Tribal Institution (NASNTI) Grant. The funding will be used to support three activities that will be woven into existing NASNTI objectives: leveraging texting services to strengthen student services; career and transfer coaching for students, faculty & staff; and resources for industrystandard instruction in Precision Agriculture.Vice President for Development & Community Relations Sheri Snyder reported that NOC partnering with the City of Enid, David Allen Memorial Ballpark and Enid Public Schools have kicked off a the “All In Together” fundraising campaign to raise $1.8 million for the renovation of Failing Field, the baseball field on the NOC Enid Campus. The upgraded facility would be used by NOC, Enid Public Schools, other area summer youth baseball and softball leagues and the City of Enid.Jeremy Hise, Vice President for NOC Enid, reported that surveys on the OSU-TSET Pond Reclamation Project are completed and the majority of the surveys desire a walking trail and picnic area near the pond on the south part of the NOC Enid campus.
