Full Moon Concert this Friday
Enjoy live music under the stars with Enid-based Harwood, Roberts and Thompson at the Full Moon Concert on Friday, July 23 in Tonkawa Centennial Park, 301 East Grand, Tonkawa, OK. Steven Harwood, piano and vocals; Dave Roberts, bass and vocals; and Billy Thompson, drums, bring a high energy mix of jazz, rock, and New Orleans rhythm and blues. By audience request after their exceptional 2020 concert, the talented trio returns to the Heart in the Park Pavilion.
The family-friendly concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and is free to all. Since seating in the park is limited, the public is invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets and snacks. Pets on leashes are welcome. Restroom facilities are located across the street in the Santa Fe Depot.
Lt. Governor Pinnell to Speak at OK2A
Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell will speak Saturday at this month’s Kay-Noble County Chapter meeting of The Oklahoma 2nd Amendment Asso. Pinnell will address the Achievements of this Administration, give us his vision for the future, address your concerns & answer your questions. Lankford challenger to speak at Ponca
Jackson Lahmeyer, challenger to James Langford, will be in Ponca City Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. He will be the guest speaker at the Kay County GOP monthly meeting which meets at the Vo-Tech, 2101 North Ash. Mr. Lahmeyer seems to be turning some heads.
Lahmeyer is a pastor from Tulsa who got interested in politics when the city of Tulsa tried to prohibit a parking lot worship service. The city has since backed down. He lives with his wife Kendra and his five children. He has B.A. and M.S. degrees in theological and historical studies from Oral Roberts University. School enrollment July 28th
Tonkawa Public Schools will be having enrollment on Wednesday, July 28. It will be held at the Tonkawa event center from 8-6. This is for all grades pre-k to 12th grade. new students will need to bring immunization record, social security card, birth certificate and CDIB card if applicable.
