Easter Egg Hunt Saturday at Blinn
The annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by First National Bank of Oklahoma will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Blinn Park. It is for children age 10 and under. And kids, don’t forget the submit your entries for the Tonkawa News Easter Coloring Contest that appeared in last week’s issue. The deadline is noon today.
Chamber award ballots due March 31
On Thursday, April 22, 2021, 6-8 p.m., the Chamber will host an outdoor event called the Tonkawa Chamber of Commerce Awards Social. This event will be held at the Tonkawa Hotel/ Casino, located at 16601 W. South Avenue, Tonkawa, Oklahoma, 6-8 p.m. The menu will be heavy hors d’oeuvres including dessert and a cash bar will be available. The awards part of the evening is at 7:00 p.m. under the tent. Dress is casual as we encourage a fun evening of fellowship.
On that date the chamber will recognize up to five award winners. Categories are Employee of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Lifetime service award, Tonkawa Pride and Business of the Year. Forms for nominees are available at the chamber office, 102 E. Grand. They should be returned by March 31, 2021.
Tickets are $25.00 each and may be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce office, 102 E. Grand Ave. If you would like your tickets mailed to you, please call 580-628-2220. Checks should be made payable to Tonkawa Chamber of Commerce. Please have your tickets purchased by 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2021 to ensure availability of tickets for you and your guests. We hope you will be able to join us for an evening of socially distanced fun.

Methodists re-schedule thrift sale
The First United Methodist Church in Tonkawa has officially rescheduled its Thrift Sale for Friday, June 4th and Saturday, June 5th. So start saving your pennies and put the date on your calendar.
